Expensive Cherries

The camper broke down....thinking of a nice name of it while we swear at it. Any ideas?

Coming down the hill into Princeton where the copper mine comes up on your right and apparently where the tow trucks hang around waiting to pounce from May long weekend onwards... our engine cut out. 6.30pm and we had to hitch a ride with a guy called Andrea (Dutch background funnily enough). Maarten got Greg and his tow truck to take us to the nearest garage. He was nice, he waited for us to get some things and then gave us a lift back to the van. We had oil all over the engine...spilling it's guts. The engine would start but there wasn't any spark to make it go, something to do with the ignition, module, coil...not sure if I'm making sense.

We spent the night in it...our first...and cooked pasta in it too...that was nice and sat outside on our folding chairs and got bitten by mossies inspite of the 30% deet I had. At 9pm just as we were beginning to relax Greg comes by in a rush asking if we wanted to get a lift to Hope with him...it would have got us there for 12 midnight...one of us didn't want that so we stayed.

On Sunday we tried to hitch a ride towards Vancouver for more than an hour in the hot sun, the gas station attendant opposite the Sandman Hotel was extremely helpful and into Danielle Steel books...in the end we took the bus for $52 each... 4.5 hours later we even made it to the Greek Day celebrations on Broadway...ate ourselves loads of kebabs into feeling better, listened to some great music and dance. Met a wonderful woman called Linda selling homemade lemonade. The weather was hot and sunny and we had a great time despite our campervan being miles away... it was horrid seeing it left there all unlocked in a car yard outside Princeton.
