Our clean flat
The tulip photo Maarten had blown up, we framed it to give as a gift to his work
Katherine and I after an exhausting day having coffee
Snowing!Friday night we went to Naan on 4th with Dave and Dan. Met a couple of their friends; Megan and Cliff. It was a nice evening although we had to wait a long time for a table. It was more the fact that they kept seating numerous people less than 6 in number that were lined up behind us. I think Maarten and I have had dinner there enough times to never go again. Afterwards we walked to Benny’s on Broadway. Calhouns is still the best over student dives.
Saturday we did house chores and prepared for a lovely meal with Katherine and Todd. We had the best evening with an amazing sunset. The flat looks nice and clean and I hope it stays that way for Arlene, Doug and Karen arriving on Saturday. The Thai meal was of spicy pork mince balls and green curry with chook and eggplant ending with a monk tea (of pomegranate and vanilla) and fresh mangoes. Katherine brought 2 bottles of very nice wine.
Sunday we got a lift at 8.30am with Katherine and we skied all day – it snowed and snowed and changed the way the runs were continuously, it was fun. Visibility was extremely bad but the snow was worth every moment. The runs that weren’t so lush last weekend were awesome on Sunday. It took us 20 to 25 minutes to get to the lifts from home by car. What a difference to the 2 buses and sea bus and the hour and 30 minutes it usually takes us. We had thought of getting back on the slopes after having a coffee break around 4ish but then we got tired so we went home. It was a long and awesome day though.
